The vice-president, Geraldo Alckmin, unveiled agendas that he would have in Sao Paulo on Monday (11) and will return to Brasilia for “unadiable commitment”-on the eve of the federal government to announce the resistance plan for companies against the United States tariff.
In the state capital, Alckmin would participate in an agribusiness congress in the morning and the launch of an afternoon export qualification program. He was already in Sao Paulo and embarks back to the federal capital early on, according to his advisory.
between Monday and Tuesday (12).
CNN sought the MDIC (Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services) about details of the minister’s agenda in the federal capital. There is no more information about commitments so far.
According to members of the government’s economic team, the plan to be presented was built “tailored”, with different actions for multiple sectors and business profiles. The package will feature “short, medium and long term” mitigation measures, according to these governors.
Credit lines for impacted sectors and the expansion of government purchases should be part of the plan, allowing public agencies to absorb goods that will no longer be exported. According to government calculations, 50% tariffs will affect about one third of companies they sell to the US.
