One group attacked the Palmeiras Football Academy with bombs and rods at dawn on Sunday (10). Images released by the club show some people in front of the gate throwing the artifacts towards CT, in the west of São Paulo.
Players, members of the coaching staff and other collaborators were on site in concentration for the game against Ceará, at 16h (Brasília time), for the Brazilian Championship.
“Luckily, no one was injured,” Palmeiras said in a note published on their social networks.
The club classified the act as a “terrorist attack with characteristics similar to that occurred in October 2024, when Marginals already identified by police murdered a Cruise fan on Fernão Dias Highway.”
On the occasion, members of the organized Green Spot crowd organized an ambush and attacked buses that carried fans of the Blue Mafia, resulting in the death of a Cruzeirense and leaving another 20 injured.
In early April, police arrested six Palmeiras fans involved with the attack.
“Palmeiras will not be intimidated by the violent acts performed by a group of criminals and will go to the end for those responsible to be punished with the rigor of the law,” the club said.
The association also reported that it is already in contact with the Civil Police and will register a police report, with all the images registered by the monitoring cameras available to researchers.
“We cannot tolerate, much less normalizing, that football becomes an increasingly toxic environment, where peace is at risk permanently.
