One of the “most sought after” criminals in Brazil, one of the leaders of the Capital First Command (CCP) criminal organization, was killed during a police mega-operation to capture him, police in Sao Paulo said.
São Paulo Secretary of Public Security, Guilherme Derrite, announced on social networks that it is 43 -year -old Luken Cesar Burghi Augusto, who was hiding in a house on the São Paulo coast and had been sentenced to a penalty of 46 years and 11 months in prison for participation in a transport company in 2017, in the city of Araçatuba, in the interior of São Paulo.

The theft resulted in the death of a police and theft of approximately eight million reais (about 1.3 million euros).
According to the Brazilian media, this man was a CCP leader, Brazil’s most powerful criminal group, whose tentacles today extend throughout the country and much of South America, especially Paraguay and Bolivia, as well as European countries, such as Portugal.
Guilherme Derrite reported that the criminal “opted for the confrontation, shot against the police and that there was no choice but to neutralize him.”
According to the statement issued by the same ministry, Augusto fired a firearm against the police involved in the operation, who responded to the attack and eventually killed in the “on site” man.
In the operation was seized a 9 mm caliber weapon, several ammunition and documents that the suspects are counterfeit.
