On Tuesday in Jordan, the US and Syria will begin. The plan is to move the country’s renewal process and prevent other violence in shallow relationships between communities.

Jordan will host a meeting of the United States and Syria on Tuesday. They will discuss the situation in Syria and the possibilities of its renewal after a long -term civil war, the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Sunday. According to the AFP report, TASR reports this.

Syrian Foreign Minister Assad Shajbani and a special American envoy Thomas Barrack will discuss “ways of supporting the process of restoration of Syria on the basics that guarantee its safety, stability and sovereignty”.

AFP explains that it will be a continuation of the discussions that took place on July 19 in Amman and focused on violence among ethnic groups in the Syrian province of Suwajda, which died in July at least 1400 people.

Barrack said, after announcing a planned meeting on the social network X, that this commitment emphasizes “our joint determination to go to the future in which Syria and all its inhabitants will be able to live in peace, safe and prosperity”.

Syrian insurgents led by the group Hajat Tahrír Ash-Šám (HTS) launched an unexpected offensive against the regime of long-time Syrian President Bashar Assad at the end of November last year. In rapid succession, large cities such as Aleppo, Dajr Az-Zaur, Hamá and Homs occupied and at the end of the lightning offensive conquered Damascus and overturned Assad, who went to Moscow, at the end of December. The overthrow of the regime in Syria ended the 13-year civil war as well as the half-century government of the Assads.

Minority groups in Syria expressed concern about their safety after overthrowing Assad. New Syrian officials have repeatedly expressed their intention to protect all ethnic and religious minorities in Syria. However, after the aforementioned struggles in Suwajda and March violence against Alawit and Christians in the West of Syria, where more than 1700 civilians, especially Alawit, died, have increased doubts about whether they can handle this tension in the country.
