One person died and several apartments and an industrial installation were damaged in a Ukrainian drone attack in the Sratov region of southern Russia, the local governor said on Sunday (10).
Roman Busargin posted on Telegram that residents were removed after wreckage of a destroyed drone damaged three apartments in the night attack.
“Several residents needed medical assistance,” Busargin said. “Help was provided at the scene, and one person was hospitalized. Unfortunately, one person died,” he added.

The ministry only informs how many drones its defense units slaughtered, not how many were released by Ukraine.
Busargin did not specify what type of industrial area was damaged.
Images of social networks showed a dense black smoke rising on what it seemed to be an industrial zone. Reuters checked the location view in one of the videos as being compatible with the file and satellite images in the area. Reuters could not check when the video was filmed.
Ukrainian media, including the RBK-Ukraine communication vehicle, reported that the oil refinery in the city of Sratov, the region’s administrative center, was on fire after a drone attack.
Reuters could not check this information. There was no official comment from Russia.
The Rosneft -owned refinery in the city of Saratov was forced to suspend operations, Sources of the sector told Reuters.
The Russian channel Shot Telegram, which often publishes information from sources of security services and police authorities, reported that about eight explosions were heard in Sratov and Engels, cities separated by the Volga River.
Russia’s Civil Aviation Authority, Rosaviatsia, said at Telegram that Sratov’s arrival and departure flights were interrupted for about two hours on Sunday morning to ensure air safety.
Both sides deny target civilians in their attacks on each other’s territory in the war that Russia launched with a large -scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
Kiev says his attacks within Russia aim to destroy the essential infrastructure for Moscow war efforts, including energy and military infrastructure, and are a response to Russia’s continuous attacks.
