The Corregedoria of the House of Representatives analyzes a representation against 14 parliamentarians who occupied the board of directors last week. THE possibility of suspension of the mandates is considered as a corrective measure to avoid future incidents. The analysis is by Isabel Mega in CNN NEW DAY.

Among the parliamentarians who may face punishments are PL names, including bench leader, Socrates Cavalcante, as well as Zé Trovão, Julia Zanatta and Marcel Van Hattem. Conduct analysis is being carried out based on plenary images, seeking to identify the role and responsibility of each involved.

Precedents and new guidelines

The punitive line adopted by the Chamber already has recent precedents. An example cited is the case of Deputy Gilvan Federalwhich was suspended for three months due to conduct considered inadequate.

Current management of the Chamber seeks to establish a clear distinction between regimental obstruction, permitted by parliamentary mechanisms, and physical obstruction, as occurred in the recent riot. The first involves the presentation of requirements that can change the pace of the work, while the second implies actions that physically prevent the operation of the house.

Guidelines under discussion

Parallel to the analysis of the punishments, the Opposition awaits the positioning of parliamentarians on topics defended during the riot. Among the guidelines are Privileged Forum Reviewwhich could transfer cases from the Federal Supreme Court to the first instance, and the so -called PEC of Armage.
