Senator criticizes foreign policy and says that Lula created friction with US without support from the Brics countries
Senator Ciro Nogueira (PP-PI) this Monday (11.ago.2025) that the President (PT) adopted a “Diplomacy of the force shirt” in dealing with international relations.
In publication on his profile of X (former Twitter), Nogueira stated that Lula “Attacks the US and defends the BRICS”, But that the block formed by Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa and new members would not have returned this support. According to the senator, after the sanctions imposed by the US to Brazil, “The Brics do not defend Lula.”
“Result: Lula has gained a new (and unnecessary) enemy against Brazil and those he says are allies isolated him. It is the diplomacy of the strength shirt”, he wrote.
Ciro Nogueira, former Minister of the Civil House in the former president’s government (PL), is one of the main names of the opposition in Congress and has been recurring criticism of the current government’s foreign policy ,.
