Emmanuel Macron publicly condemned the Israeli plan in Gaza, called it the way to a permanent war and appealed to finding a peaceful solution.
French President Emmanuel Macron condemned the plan of Israel militarily to occupy the city of Gaza on Monday and described it as an “unprecedented disaster” and the way to the “permanent war”. TASR informs this based on the AFP report.
“This war must end immediately with permanent ceasefire,” Macron appealed in a statement.
UN against the intervention in Gaza
Israel’s plan was also a criticism of Israel to be placed on Sunday’s extraordinary UN Security Council meeting at the level of ambassadors dedicated to the situation in the Gaza Strip. Representatives of five European states – the UK, Denmark, France, Greece and Slovenia – condemned this decision and called on Israel to review and not implement it.
Israel refused the criticism that he was not intending to occupy Gaza permanently, but it will only be a “liberation from the brutal terrorist regime” of the Palestinian militant movement Hamas.
The United States traditionally supported Israel at the meeting.
