“Al -Jazeera Anas Al Sarif was killed along with four colleagues in targeted Israeli blows against a scene,” where they were in front of Sipfa Hospital last night, Qatar’s television network said.
According to the same source, in total, the dead in this blow were seven. Anas Al Sarif and Mohammed Curaka, journalists, as well as Ibrahim Zachater, Mohammed Noufal and Loumen Alia, Al Jazeera, are among the victims, the network said.

This is my will and my final message. If these words reach you, know that Israel has succeeded in killing me and silencing my voice. First, peace be upon you and Allah’s mercy and blessings.

“Terrorist who was representing the journalist”
The Israeli Armed Forces confirmed that they were targeting Anas Al Sarif, describing the young “terrorist” who “attended the journalist”.
They said via Telegram that they were “blowing a blow by targeting the terrorist Anas al -Sarif, who was representing al -Jazeera journalist”, extending that “he was a leader of a terrorist core of the Hamas terrorist organization”, “for the preparation of the attacks”.
The 28 -year -old was one of the most famous faces among the correspondents of the Arabic -speaking network in the Gaza Strip, covering the war on October 7, 2023, in retaliation for the attack of the Palestinian Israeli military arm.

The “Bloc” Israel – Palestinian Authority in Al Jazeera
In May 2024, the Israeli authorities decided to ban the network signal to the country and closed its offices. It was the culmination of the long conflict between Qatar’s average and the government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who worsened even more during the ongoing war.
The Israeli army has repeatedly accused Hamas’ “terrorists”.
And the Palestinian Authority, which exerts – defined – powers on the West Bank, banned Al Jazeera for several months at the beginning of the year, accusing it of “motivating rebellion” and “involvement” in Palestinian affairs.
The network then denounced the decision, which aimed at it, to silence the “deterioration” of the situation in the Palestinian region, under Israeli occupation since 1967.
Israeli censorship in the media
From the outbreak of war in the Gaza Strip, the international press is not allowed by the Israeli army to work freely in the small Palestinian pocket under siege.
Only some means, carefully selected, come in, “embedded” into Israeli army units. Their reports are subject to military censorship.
The death of the five al -Jazeera workers was recorded a few hours after Mr Netanyahu announced that he ordered the army to allow a larger number of foreign journalists to work – in its control – in the Gaza Strip.
“There is a problem in guaranteeing security, but I think it can be done in a responsible and wise manner to protect your own safety,” he said, adding that the order was “two days ago”. He did not give any other clarification.
Blood tax tax
The international press is based on journalists and correspondents in the Gaza Strip, which pay an extremely heavy price: some of them have been killed in 20 months by the Israeli army, including 45 in the exercise of their profession, according to the NGOs. The Committee on the Protection of Journalists (CPJ) counts 187 “verified” deaths of workers in media. The Hamas government’s media office is referring to more than 230 dead journalists.
At the raid of the Palestinian Islamist movement in the southern part of Israel on October 7, 2023, 1,219 people were killed on the Israeli side, mostly civilians, according to a counting of the French Agency, based on official Israeli data.
In the large -scale Israeli military retaliation operations in the Palestinian enclave since then, at least 61,430 people have lost their lives, according to the numbers of the Hamas government ministry, which are credible by the UN.
RSF organization denounces murder
The Organization of Journalists Without Borders (RSF) today denounced “with a strongness and rage of the murder, the responsibility for which the Israeli army of an Al Jazeera journalist in the Gaza Strip.
“Anas Al Sarif, one of the most well -known journalists in the Gaza Strip, was the voice of the suffering imposed by Israel on the Palestinians of Gaza,” the NGO said in a statement sent to the French Agency, demanding a “strong action”.
