The agenda of exploitation and sexualization of children and adolescents has taken over social networks in recent days, driven by the performance of influencer Felipe Bressanim Pereira, better known as Felca.
With millions of followers, he has been gaining space in public debate and was noted for criticism of the online bet industry. During the BETS CPI, it attacked the attitude of the influencer and other creators who promote virtual casinos.
Last week, Felca returned to the center of attention by publishing the video “Children’s Adultization”, which exposes cases of exploration and early sexualization of children on social networks.
With almost 50 minutes long, the material viralized, surpassed the bubble of its audience and quickly guided the political debate. Figures like Érika Hilton, and publicly spoke out, showing that the impact of content transcends ideological differences.
This amplitude was also reflected outside the open networks.
Real -time monitoring, which accompanies more than 100,000 groups of E, identified that the theme has circulated intensely in these spaces, crossing political borders and being shared by users of different spectra.
The mentions remained stable until August 6, but from the 7th, they grew rapidly, reaching the peak on August 9. The leap indicates that the repercussion has extrapolated the original base of the influencer, reaching audiences and environments where he is rarely cited.
Ideological distribution analysis, however, reveals an asymmetry: about 39% of the messages departed from right-handed groups, 11% left and 50% remained without ideological identification, treating the case in a depolitic manner.
Among the right groups, the video was widely shared as a defense of moral values and combating child sexualization, although, in some cases, accompanied by distrust about its use as a justification to expand the regulation of social networks.
Already on the left the demonstrations associated the complaints with guidelines for protection of rights, digital regulation and accountability of influencers. The expressive neutral slice suggests that the case also mobilized a broader audience, little engaged in polarized political disputes.
The debate on solutions to this type of crime is supported by technologies already available. Image recognition tools and clusters analysis evolved to the point of enabling many of the measures defended by Felca.

These are features ready for large -scale use by large platforms.
The challenge, therefore, is not technical, but criterion: how far the big techs are willing to act.
With more rigorous rules, technology could act in a preventive manner – reaching standards, blocking channels of dissemination and reducing exposure of children and adolescents to risk environments.
Making the most secure for children and youth is today another issue of political decision than technical capacity.
The repercussion of Felca’s video makes clear the value of voices willing to expose topics that often go unnoticed or are treated with embarrassment.
Reporting the exploitation and sexualization of children and adolescents is more than a moral agenda: it is an urgency for public health and human rights.
At a time when the country discusses, at the federal level, the regulation of large technology companies and social networks, the protection of children and youth public cannot be treated as detail or attachment of other agendas-and should remain, a central axis of any serious policy for the internet.
