He appeared in the cafe menu in South Korea a few years ago, but he gained true popularity in the era of social media, when photos of the mugs of this purple began to appear on the web.
It is particularly popular in autumn and winterwhen Koreans are also looking for something warming, nutritious and light. Unlike ordinary coffee Goguma Latte does not increase the pressure or causes excessive stimulation – It is a calming drink, but at the same time filling and adding energy. Ingredients:
- medium purple sweet potato (it can also be white or orange),
- 250 ml of milk (warm, cow or vegetable) + 120 ml of milk (to be foaming),
- Optional: a teaspoon of honey, a pinch of cinnamon, a drop of vanilla extract, espresso.
Method of performance:
Peel the sweet potato, wash and cut into pieces. Transfer to a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake at 200 degrees Celsius for about 40 minutes (until tender).
Transfer to a blender cup, pour in the previously heated 250 ml of milk (it is only to be warm, not boiling). Blend into smooth, velvety purée.
If you want, add honey, cinnamon, vanilla or espresso and mix. Pour the drink into a glass or cup.
120 ml of milk in a foam for fluffy foam. If you do not have such equipment, simply heat the milk to about 60 degrees Celsius (do not bring to a boil), and then beat them vigorously with a whisk, blender or mixer to obtain foam. Transfer the foam to the top of Latte with a teaspoon. Serve immediately while hot.
You can also give Goguma Latte cold. In this case, proceed according to the above provision, but after baking and mixing the sweet potato, put the mass to cool.
