PARIS (Reuters)-France President Emmanuel Macron criticized Israel’s plans to intensify his military operation in Gaza as a disaster about to take place and proposed an international coalition under the United Nations mandate to stabilize Gaza.
Last week, Israel’s security office approved a plan to take control of the city of Gaza, in an action that expanded its military operations in the destroyed Palestinian territory and attracted strong criticisms in the country and abroad.
“The announcement of the Israeli Office of an expansion of its operations in the city of Gaza and the fields of Mawasi and a reoccupation announces a disaster of gravity unprecedented about to happen and a movement towards an endless war,” Macron said in lines sent by his office to reporters.
Unique opportunity
Legacy Card: Far beyond a service

“The Israeli hostages and the people of Gaza will continue to be the main victims of this strategy,” Macron added.
