The protocol has a bill for social organizations, associations, unions and NGOs not to have to pay the fee to non -profit shows, parties and events.
Motta claims that even events made to raise support funds for social causes are required to collect the fee. He cites, as an example, church parties, charitable auctions and cultural actions without the charge of admission.
“It is a demand of many years of entities that promote solidarity actions. Our proposal is to ensure that, in these cases, all the appeal raised goes directly to the cause, without discounts, strengthening the positive impact of these events,” says Motta, who presides in the union that represents commerce employees in São Paulo.
In defending the proposal, the deputy also states that the exemption could facilitate the realization of more social and philanthropic actions in the country.
