The delivery platform launched an application in São Paulo and in the cities of the metropolitan region this 3rd (12.ago.2025). The company – which is part of the Chinese group Didi Chuxing – already has 20,000 restaurants and 50,000 delivery.
In Goiânia, where 99food already operates, the service brings together 8,000 restaurants and 15,000 delivery. In total, the company works with 28,000 establishments and 65,000 delivery.
The service is initially available in São Paulo and 7 neighboring municipalities: Guarulhos, Osasco, Sao Bernardo do Campo, Santo André, Barueri, Diadema and São Caetano do Sul.
The presentation of the platform was made by executives of the company during an event closed in Pinheiros, west of the state capital. Prior to the official launch of the app, representatives met with the deputy governor of São Paulo, (PSD).
“We bring a proposed value of zeroing our commission and tuition to help restaurants really make this delivery channel an equal channel of them, just like the counter, have the same level of profitability.”said Simeng Wang, general director of 99 in Brazil.
According to Bruno Rossini, 99 Director General in Brazil, the service seeks to solve dissatisfaction with the rates charged by existing delivery applications. A survey commissioned to the Locomotive Institute in partnership with Abrasel (Brazilian Association of Bars and Restaurants) shows that 63% of consumers have stopped ordering food by application because of prices.
The survey also indicates that 94% of consumers and 81% of restaurants believe that without application rates, dishes could be offered at lower prices in the delivery service. The survey also shows that 92% of consumers would ask more if there was an application without charging for restaurants.
