Be sure to add lilies in August. They will bloom longer than the neighbors

Lilies belong to one of the most beautiful flowers. No wonder that we want to enjoy their charm as long as possible. To do this, just use a simple, home fertilizer, which you will prepare from kitchen remains. Thanks to this, lilies will bloom longer and healthier.

To take care of your lilies in August, it is worth using home fertilizers. A proven way to nourish the plant is to use leftovers from your kitchen, and more specifically coffee coffee grounds. They are very valuable for lily because they contain ingredients such as phosphorus, potassium, magnesium and nitrogen. They are necessary for the proper growth of the plant and its abundant.

In addition, coffee grounds have slightly acidifying properties. This is good information because lilies prefer a slightly acidic substrate. So let’s use coffee grounds to not only strengthen the plants with nutrients, but also improve the earth structureincrease its fertility and biological activity.

Lilies should be fertilized in the second half. This is an ideal term, because it is then that the plants intensively prepare for the final stage of flowering. During this period, natural fertilizers should be used, about every 10-14 days.

Of course, apart from coffee coffee grounds, we can also think about Additional use of compost or well -composed manure. These fertilizers perfectly support the development of the root system, and also positively affect the overall condition of the lily.

The very use of coffee coffee ground fertilizer is not complicated. After brewing the coffee, we put off the coffee grounds and give them time so that they can dry. Then we simply spread them evenly around the base of the lily. However, be careful not to pour them directly into the stalk. After placing the coffee grounds, gently mix them with the top layer of soil.

Another way to use coffee coffee grounds is Preparation of liquid fertilizer. To do this, pour coffee grounds with water in a 1:10 ratio. We leave them for about 2 days, then strain and dilute with 1: 1 water. We water the plants with such a conditioner, pouring it under the root, every 14 days. However, be careful not to pour the fertilizer directly on the list so that they do not burn them.

Both of these methods are worth trying because they provide lily with the necessary ingredients that support growth and extend the flowering time of plants. Remember, however, that do not use too much fertilizer because it could lead to acidification of the soiland too much nitrogen dose will stimulate the leaves that will develop at the expense of flowers.
