The sealeda soplówka is a mushroom from the soplowy family. It is characterized by a spherical or a trained fruiting bodies, whose diameter is from 8 to 30 cm. Young specimens have a white color, while the older cream, yellow and then brown.
A characteristic feature of this species are long, hanging spikes with a length of 2 to 6 cm, reminiscent of hair. It is they who pay attention to the most and make the sea soplówka resemble a spherical moss and even a coral structure.
This specimen is, which is why it has been used in the kitchen. It was also used in traditional Chinese and Japanese medicine when treating stomach ailments, as well as liver and kidney disease. In addition, he soothed stress and strengthened the body in overloads.

Although this mushroom cannot be collected, it arouses the interest of both mushroom pickers and nature researchers. It has a lot of value due to the rare occurrence.
It is difficult to meet a sealeda soplówka. In Poland it is rare, we can come across it in some older deciduous forests, sometimes also in coniferous forests. Most often it grows on trees, i.e. beeches, warts or Osice poplars. It settles on dead wood – on broken trunks or on the branches lying on the ground. We consider her as a parasite.
This mushroom loves a cool and moist atmosphere. We have the best chances to find it in western Poland, especially in Lower Silesiaalthough it may also appear in Silesia, Greater Poland, Warmia and Mazury or Pomerania. The presence of this specimen indicates the wealth and balance of the forest ecosystem.
