With tickets for Google and Amazon, Eric Young takes office to boost global expansion and innovation in artificial intelligence
Nubank announced, this Thursday (12.ago.2025), Eric Young as New CTO (Chief Technology Office). He will replace Vitor Olivier, who leaves office in September to start his own business after more than 10 years in the company.
The change in technological leadership takes place at a strategic moment for the digital financial institution, which seeks to expand operations internationally and implement new technologies. A transition plan has been structured to ensure the continuity of the platform’s projects.
Young has over 20 years of experience in technological leadership in large global companies. Before joining Nubank, he occupied the position of senior vice president of Engineering at Snap Inc., where he led infrastructure and development teams for users.
He spent 7 years as Vice President of Engineering on Google, where he supervised the bases of technical infrastructure for products such as Search, Ads, YouTube and Google Cloud. His professional career also has 15 years in Amazon, where he worked in senior functions in the areas of Supply Chain, FullFillment, personalization and pricing.
In Nubank’s organizational structure, Young will report directly to the founder and CEO David Vélez.
