In addition to the arrests, search and seizure warrants are served at residential addresses and at the headquarters of the investigated companies. The inquiry is conducted by the Special Action Group on the Repression of Economic Crimes (GEDEC), arm of the São Paulo Public Prosecution Service responsible for the investigation of crimes against the economic order. “The operation is the result of months of investigative work, with analysis of documents, confidentiality breaks and interceptions authorized by the court,” said the MP.
