The former first lady whose husband, Jun Sok-Jol, is also in prison, denies all allegations.

On Tuesday, the South Korean court issued an arrest warrant for the former first lady Kim Kon-Hui for accusations of handling shares, interfering with the elections and receiving bribes. According to Jonhap, TASR reports this.

The authorities were transferred to the southwest Seoul after a court hearing. Her husband and former South Korean President Jun Sok-Jol is also in prison in connection with several accusations, including a short statement of martial law last December.

Concerns about the destruction of evidence

The court in Seoul issued an arrest warrant five days after the team of the Special Prosecutor asked for this on the basis of allegations of a violation of several laws. During a Tuesday hearing, special prosecutors reportedly stressed concern that Kim could destroy the evidence.

The former First Lady is accused of manipulating the prices of Deutsch Motors, interfering in elections and receiving luxury gifts from the Church unification in exchange for business benefits.

The investigation of the Special Prosecutor focuses on a total of 16 accusations against the former first lady. During the interrogation, Kim reportedly denied everyone, writes Jonhap.
