The most expensive street in the country is located in the Algarve and the houses cost an average of 8,106,364 €

In the world of luxury real estate, there are houses that are worth much more than gold. And, according to idealist data, there are streets in Portugal where the average price of houses exceeds several million euros, especially a street in the Algarve that leads the country’s table as the most expensive with a large advantage.

According to the study released by the idealist, the most expensive street to buy home in Portugal is in Quinta do Lago, in Almancil, in the district of Faro. In July 2025, the average value requested by the owners was 8,106,364 euros, making this address the most exclusive in the country.

The area is known by the resort environment, proximity to beaches and golf courses, and for being sought by both national residents and foreigners with high purchasing power.

Cascais dominates the ranking

Although the Algarve occupies the first place, it is Cascais that most often appears on this list. In the top 10, several streets of the county are present with average values above the three million euros, consolidating the image of the region as one of the most coveted in the country for luxury housing.

Second place goes to Soto Maior Street in Sintra, where to buy a house costs on average 3,912,000 euros. Soon after comes the Avenida dos Discovimentos in Lagos, Algarve, with an average price of 3,797,450 euros.

Also according to the idealist, the fourth position is occupied by Rua Vilas do Mar, in Carvalhal, district of Setúbal, with an average value of 3,644,444 euros. Then come Faias Street (3,589,091 euros) and Melo e Sousa Street (3,554,768 euros), both in the municipality of Cascais and Estoril.

Exclusive addresses from north to south

The list continues with Rua dos Pinheiros, in Cascais, registering an average price of 3,312,105 euros. Rua do Pinhal, in Estoril, occupies the eighth position, with houses that cost an average of 3,195,000 euros. 24 de Julho Avenue, in the parish of Misericórdia, in Lisbon, comes in ninth place, with an average value of 3,054,850 euros. The ranking closes with Rua Caree de Tire, in Barcarena, Oeiras, where to buy home costs, on average, 3,021,933 euros.

STUDY METHODOLOGY

The survey was made based on the absolute average price of apartments and houses announced on the same street. To avoid distortions, he considered him only streets with a minimum of 10 active ads, eliminating duplicate properties. The study reveals only the average value requested on the streets analyzed, not meaning that they are, necessarily, the most expensive houses in each region.

The numbers show that, despite the economic conjuncture and market oscillations, the luxury sector continues to attract investment and maintain high prices in specific areas. Whether by the sea, in historical areas or in closed enterprises, exclusivity continues to price and, in some cases, exceeds eight million euros.
