The US Treasury Department even sent to the Brazilian a Zoom application link to the conversation that would take place next Wednesday (13) between Secretary Scott Bessent and the minister. The theme would be commercial sanctions to Brazil.

The communication was transmitted by email by Bessent’s office last Tuesday (5), late afternoon, to Haddad’s advisory. Negotiations between the two parts had started the day before.
Less than 16 hours later, on the morning of Wednesday (6), there was the abrupt cancellation of the conversation, without further explanation. The justification was only that Bessent could no longer accommodate the contact with Haddad on his agenda.
The sequence of facts reinforces the suspicion on the farm that the American secretary changed his attitude by the influence of Deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP), who is in the US.
On the morning of Wednesday (6), shortly before, therefore, of the cancellation, Eduardo gave an interview to columnist Bela Megale, from the newspaper O Globo, in which he said he worked with the White House to increase the sanctions to Brazil.
