Lawyers asked Minister Alexandre de Moraes that Bolsonaro be allowed to leave house arrest on Saturday (16) to undergo a medical evaluation. According to the defense, the exams should last between 6am to 8am.
“Depending on the results, diagnostic complements and/or additional therapeutic measures may be indicated,” the lawyers wrote.
Among the indicated exams are blood and urine, endoscopy and tomography. The assessment was nominated by the medical team that accompanies Bolsonaro.
“The request stems from the follow -up of ongoing drug treatment, the need to reevaluate reflux symptoms and refractory hiccups, as well as the verification of the current health conditions of the petitioner [Bolsonaro]”Wrote the defense.
Bolsonaro fulfills house arrest decreed by Minister Alexandre de Moraes after breaking restrictions imposed by the Supreme.
In the decision that determined the arrest, Moraes stated that Bolsonaro used social networks of allies – including his three parliamentary children – to publicize messages with “clear content of incentive and instigation to attacks on the Supreme Court and ostensible support for foreign intervention in the Brazilian judiciary”.
For the minister, the performance of the former president, even without the direct use of his profiles, deliberately burned the restriction imposed above.
