Washington-According to a media report, the Weiße Haus’s list of candidates for the successor of US Federal Residential bank chief Jerome Powell currently includes eleven people. The broadcaster CNBC referred to two government employees on Wednesday. One of the new names on the list included the chief market strategist of investment bank Jefferies, David Zervos, the former Fed governor Larry Lindsey and the investment manager for the global bond business at Blackrock, Rick Rieder. US President Donald Trump is a pronounced critic of Powell, whose term of office ends in May 2026. The Republican wants a successor who fulfills his demand for interest rate cuts.
