Vacuuming the house at least 1-2 times a week helps keep order and hygiene in it. It is also an element of caring for air quality, because regularly getting rid of dust, mites and other allergens is beneficial to health (especially for people with allergies or asthma).
However, not all dirt can be cleaned with this popular device. An attempt to pull some of them into a vacuum cleaner can lead to a serious failure: burning, destroying the engine or clogging the filters, and even completely broken the equipment.

Not everything that lands on the floor is suitable for vacuuming. You must be aware of this if you want the equipment to serve you for years. Most devices are designed in such a way as to draw dry dirt, i.e. dust or crumbs of food.
The vacuum cleaner contains filters, suction pipes and the engine, which can be easily damaged after contact with sharp edges of glass or moisture. So it is better not to try to clean the screws with it, e.g. in a workshop or large fragments of broken glass (it is better to carefully collect them with a drawer and a damp cloth) and only the small ones.
The vacuum cleaner is not suitable for cleaning spilled liquids, e.g. water, coffee or mud. This is very dangerous because it can cause a short circuit or electric shock.
Maybe you’ll be surprised, but Vacuuming larger food residues, scattered flour, talc or ash is also not a good idea. Their small molecules clog a pipe, filters and engine. This is one of the most common causes of suction power, overheating of the device and failure (the HEPA filter can partially compensate for the problem).
Besides, don’t think better about pulling coins, paper clips or other metal elements (i.e. in the case of screws risk of sparking, failure, fire), ash from the fireplace, cigarette butts, e.g. from cigarettes.

And vacuuming animal hair? And so and notbecause on the one hand, modern devices cope well with the remains of traces of the presence of pets on the floor or the couch, and the other too much of them can clog the filter and brush.
So clean these elements of the equipment regularly, use special tips and try to collect larger clouds of hair or hair manually, e.g. with a special glove. Thanks to this, the vacuum cleaner will last for longer.
