Collision between two lights causes 11 injured in Loulé

According to the Faro Regional Command of the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority, the accident occurred on the National Road 270, at 12:00. “The severity of the injured is still under evaluation by the medical team” of the National Institute of Emergency Medical (INEM).

Eleven people were injured on Wednesday as a result of a collision between two light vehicles in the Campina de Cima area, in the municipality of Loulé, the victims being in medical evaluation, a source of Civil Protection said.

According to the Faro Regional Command of the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority, the accident occurred on the National Road 270, at 12:00. “The severity of the injured is still under evaluation by the medical team” of the National Institute of Emergency Medical (INEM).

The clash between the two vehicles originated the conditioning of traffic on that road road connection to the city of Loulé. The causes that originated the accident are unknown and will be determined by the police authorities, he said.

According to the Civil Protection page, at 13:30 were in the operations involved 24 elements of the Firefighters, INEM and Republican National Guard, with the support of 11 vehicles.
