One of the latest generation representatives of ESPN/Disney channels, Mariana Spinelli left the station after seven years to hit with Globo. The hiring will reinforce the GE TV team, a project that will be released soon on YouTube to compete with Cazétv.
According to information from column F5, Folha de S. Paulo, the “dating” between Globo and Mariana began in early August. The presenter would have already communicated to ESPN about her departure and she will no longer run the first edition of Sportscenter on Wednesday (13/08).
Marian Spinelli joins Jorge Iggor, who leaves TNT to also join the GE TV team.

GE TV contra Cazé TV
GE TV is Globo’s new bet to compete with the success of Cazé TV. The channel will use the base of Globo Esporte profile on YouTube, which already has 6.2 million subscribers, but with a new programming.
Most of the cast should be composed of digital influencers and professionals from GE. Names currently on open TV and SporTV should not be part of the project. Fred Bruno, currently host of Globo Esporte, is one of the names quoted to be part of GE TV.
There is no forecast of release of the new channel.
