Senior It is an extremely delicious, aromatic and subtle baking, ideal for coffee and tea. They are made extremely fast, and the effect is always great.

I am very happy to prepare them especially for meetings with friends – they always take a good thing, which is not surprising. The combination of raisins, cherries and cinnamon creates a perfect whole.

  • 500 g of wheat flour,
  • 400 g of white sugar,
  • 400 g of raisins,
  • 285 ml of water,
  • 200 ml of cherry juice with cherry drainage,
  • 200 g of cherries designed from a jar,
  • 120 g of candied skin from various fruits,
  • 1 egg in size L or XL,
  • 60 g of butter,
  • 1 tablespoon of cinnamon,
  • 1.5 teaspoons of baking powder,
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda.

In a pot, mix sugar, water, cherry juice, raisins, butter and cinnamon. Bring the whole to a boil and cook on low heat for 5 minutes. Remove and let the mixture cool completely to room temperature.

In a separate bowl, mix the flour, soda, baking powder and salt. Set aside

Half of the cherry cross -section in half, and half into quarters. Drain them well with excess fluid with paper towels.

Add the egg to the cool mixture with raisins and mix well. Then add candied skins, cherries and a mixture of flour. Mix everything together to a uniform, thick cake.

Grease two baking forms with dimensions of 35×12 cm with butter. Pour the dough into them evenly and level them. The mass should reach almost to the very top – leave 2 cm of free space.

Put the dough in a furnace set to 160 degrees Celsius and bake them for about 60 minutes or to a clean stick.

Take the senior dough out of the oven and leave at least 20 minutes before removing the mold. Cool completely, then cut into thick slices.

Serve the baking cold, yourself or with the addition of whipped cream or a blot of sour cream to break sweets.
