Cristiano Santos, research manager, points out that this is a stability with low bias, as the three combined results already give a distance of -0.8% compared to March, when there was the last rise.
“However, March was precisely the end of a period that led to the record level of the historical series of fixed-base index. Therefore, one of the factors for this combined fall of the last three months is the high base of comparison. Other factors that also influence is the retraction of credit and the resilience of inflation in the first semester, in key items, such as home feed.”he explains.
In June, PMC registered a drop in sales volume in the following sectors:
- Equipment and Material for Office, Informatics and Communication (-2.7%);
- Books, newspapers, magazines and stationery (-1.5%);
