Ukrainian President Volodymyr Genskyj said on Wednesday that Ukraine and its allies must cooperate and put pressure on Russia to end the invasion in Ukraine. Greenya said this before the negotiations he will attend in Berlin with European leaders and US leader Donald Trump.
“Russia needs to be put in pressure in the interests of a fair peace. We must learn from the experience of Ukraine and our partners to prevent Russia from lying. At present, there are no indications that the Russians are preparing to end the war,” Zelensky pointed out on social networks.
International coordination
Greenya expressed the belief that the coordinated efforts and joint action of Ukraine, the United States, Europe, and all countries that are striving for peace, can certainly force Russia to close peace. He expressed gratitude to all who help.
He added that more than 30 interviews and consultations with partners from different parts of the world have been conducted in recent days, during which both parties declared common attitudes in relation to Russia and war in Ukraine.
Video conference with leaders
According to the British BBC station, Zelenskyj will participate in a video conference call with US President Donald Trump on Wednesday in Berlin. This video call will be held just a few days before the announced Trump meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska.
Reuters wrote that in connection with the Alaska summit, the EU leaders in Berlin want to point out “the danger of betrayal of the interests of Kiev to achieve a ceasefire.” Indeed, the unpredictability of the summit, which will take place on Friday at the military base in Anchorage, has increased the concerns of Europeans that American and Russian leaders could take decisions that should far -reaching consequences and try to force Ukraine to an unfavorable agreement.
“Our attention is focused on not happening to work with American partners and maintain coordination and unity on the European side. There is still a long way to go Friday,” Reuters told a high -ranking East European representative.
