Want cold beer in minutes? This trick without freezer is the solution for the days on the beach

On a hot day, few things are more frustrating than wanting a cold beer and realizing it is at room temperature. And while the freezer is the most obvious solution, it is not always available or it may take too long for those who do not want to wait. Fortunately, there is a simple and fast method that can significantly reduce the cooling time of the drink, using only common utensils and ingredients.

According to explanations shared by Lifestyle Men’s Health magazine, the key is to create an environment that maximizes heat transfer between drink and the outside. And this can be done more effectively than with ice alone.

The method that makes the difference

To apply this technique, simply choose a large enough container, such as a bucket or cooler, where cans or bottles can be completely submerged. Put ice until it forms a good layer, add enough water to wrap the drinks and finally mix a generous amount of coarse salt or kitchen. This last ingredient is what transforms the process, as it lowers the freezing point of the water, allowing the mixture to become colder than the ice alone.

The combination of water and salt accelerates the melting of the ice, absorbing heat faster. According to experimental data released by applied physics institutes, this solution can reduce the temperature of a beer of about 20 ° C to 1.5 ° C in just 30 minutes, often reaching the ideal point of consumption in less than half of that time.

Why does it work so well?

The secret lies in physics: As the scientific and technological journal explains, when adding salt to the ice with water, a saline solution is created that can reach temperatures below 0 ° C without freezing.

This thermal difference favors heat exchange with the drink, accelerating cooling. In addition, the water ensures full contact with the cans or bottles surface, something that does not happen when only ice is used.

Less effective alternatives

Other homemade methods, such as wrap the can on damp paper before placing it in the freezer, can help, but do not reach the same speed and still imply the risk of forgetting the drink, which may result in built or alteration of flavor. Simply dive into salt -free ice is functional but slower, as there is no reduction in the freezing point.

This trick, used in both domestic and restoration professionals, is a practical solution for those who want speed, efficiency and cold beer. Best of all, it just needs three ingredients that probably already have at home.
