Emma Heming Willis said he remembered exactly how she felt when she received the news about her husband’s diagnosis, the actor. “I was so panicked, and I just remember listening to it and not hearing anything else. It was like I was falling,” he said in an interview with Diane Sawyer to ABC News, which hasn’t aired yet.
In 2023, the family announced that Willis had been diagnosed with frontal dementia, a type of dementia that affects personality, behavior and language. Since making the public diagnosis, Emma has been openly talked about the challenges of taking care of her husband and the importance of support for patients’ family members.
Asked what love is for her, Heming Willis said that throughout this journey he feels “lucky” to live this feeling. “Love is beautiful. It’s grand. It’s unconditional. I’m very lucky to feel love,” he said.
