Commission will investigate fraud and deviations at the Institute; will be chaired by Senator Omar Aziz (PSD-AM)
The President of the Congress (Brazil-AP Union), announced on Wednesday (13.ago.2025) that the (Mixed Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry) that will investigate the (National Institute of Social Security) will be installed next week.
The commission was created in June, but had not yet been officially convened by Congress. The president will be the senator (PSD-AM).
The collegiate will consist of 15 deputies and 15 senators, distributed proportionally to the size of the bench. The rapporteur will be chosen on the day the commission is installed.
CPMI was articulated by opposition parties to investigate irregularities in the payment of benefits, retirement fraud and diversion of resources in the INSS structure.
