President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva said on Wednesday (13) that he sent a letter to the president of the United States, Donald Trump on Tuesday (12), inviting him to come to Brazil during the COP30, in Belém (PA), scheduled for November.

According to Lula, the event in Brazil will be “the COP of Truth”.

“COP 30 will be COP of what we want to charge from the rulers of the world, whether or not they believe in what scientists say that the world is going through very serious problems. They will have to say whether or not we need to take a lot of arrangements to prevent the planet from being warm up above 1.5ºC. decisions, ”said the president.

Lula participated in the opening of the 4th National Conference of Popular and Solidarity Economy (Conaes), at the Planalto Palace.
