A fire in Casal do Monte, in the municipality of Fornos de Algodres, completely destroyed the house of Mr. Luís, 80, leaving him only with the clothes he had on his body. The old forest guard, visibly thrilled in statements to SIC, moved the country with his account.
Solidarity was not long before: a neighbor and his family. In less than 24 hours more than 50 thousand euros have been raised, showing the huge wave of support that history generated.
