“Superman”: James Gunn confirms development of new movie

The sequence of “Superman” was made official by the director – and one of the “bosses” of DC Studios – James Gunnand the universe of the man of steel gained a new name, entitled “Saga do Superman”.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Gunn was succinct, but made a point of updating fans about what’s coming in the hero’s universe.

“We have already finished a first script draft For the next story of what I call Superman saga. The draft is ready, which means we had to work hard on it, and I still work. I hope it will go into production soonand not far from today, “he said.

The announcement came during the premiere of Season 2 of “Peacemaker”, in which the filmmaker made a point of participating, after all, the work is another of his creations in the new phase of DC in theaters and television. For now, the new Superman movie follows no confirmed date or any other detail.

Inaugurating a new phase of DC films, the feature film tells the story of a younger Clark Kent, newly sick from Smallville. The film is described with “epic action, humor and heart”, as well as “a superman” moved by compassion and an inherent belief in the goodness of humanity. “

The cast is still composed of Nicholas Hoult (“X-men”) as Lex Luthor, Edi gathegi (“For All Mankind”); Anthony Carrigan (“Barry”, “Gotham”); Nathan Fillion (Guardians of the galaxy ”); Isabela Merced (“The Last of Us”); Skyler Gisondo (“Licorice Pizza”); Sara Sampaio (“At Midnight”); María Gabriela de Faría (“The Moodys”); Wendell Pierce (“Selma: a struggle for equality”); Alan Tudyk (“Andor”); Pruitt Taylor Vince (“Bird Box”); e Neva Howell (“Gredy People: greedy people”).
