Taylor Swift is thrilled to tell the journey to recover rights of her work

The copyright of the Taylor Swift35, have always been a delicate question for the singer. But in May, Artist managed to recover all discography which had been under the tutelage of Scooter Braun.

In an interview with the “New Heights” podcast, led by the football player – and also his boyfriend – Travis Kelce, Taylor was thrilled to tell about long journey until finally acquiring its original recordings.

According to the singer, her mother and brother, Andrea and Austin Swift, to discuss the acquisition of her with the company Shamrock Capital, which previously owned her songs.

“They talked to Shamrock Capital and told them what that meant to me,” she recalled. “Told the story every time we tried to buy these songs backevery time it didn’t work out, “he began.

The singer revealed that she received the news that she had purchased her original recordings a few months after the Super Bowl 2025. “I received a call from my mother: ‘You got your music,'” Taylor said, thrilled. “It’s been a while since this has happened, and every time I talk about it I just play on the floor dramatically. Honestly, I started to cry on time, and I’m almost crying now!“.

In May, the artist became the owner of all her musical catalog, about six years after fighting the sale of the original recordings of her first six albums. She announced the news in a letter published on social networks, celebrating that “All the songs I’ve done now belong to me”.

This Wednesday (13), Taylor Swift announced the cover and release date of your 12th album, entitled “The Life of a Showgirl”. The new pop singer’s album will arrive on digital platforms on the day October 3.
