US treasure says that Fed’s interest cut could start at 0.25 pp

The Treasury Secretary of USAScott Bessent, said on Thursday (14) that the conditions now seem more favorable for a cut in the interest rate and that the Central Bank could “start with 25 pp (base points) and then accelerate”.

“Conditions are now a bit more favorable for a cut,” he said in an interview with Fox Business Network, adding that he believes “there is room for a series of interest cuts.”
