Deputy publication in X after US sanctions to individuals linked to the Mais Médicos Project
The federal deputy (PL-SP) Criticized this Thursday (14.ago.2025) No X (former Twitter) The Mais Médicos program, created in 2013 during the government (PT). The congressman argued that “More sanctions are implemented” against people involved in the project.

Eduardo’s speech was given after the United States government announced sanctions against individuals linked to the program. In a video published earlier, Eduardo Bolsonaro said the US decision would be a “message” to Brazilian ministers and bureaucrats.
Mais Médicos was created with the objective of expanding the presence of health professionals in regions with low medical coverage, including hiring foreign doctors, mostly Cubans. In 2018, the government of Cuba announced the withdrawal of its professionals from the program, after the criticism of the then president -elect (PL) to the conditions of the agreement.
