Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky travels to London to meet British Prime Minister Keir Stmerer on Thursday to take stock before the important conversations of US President Donald Trump with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Alaska, on Friday (15).
He has worked with European leaders to press Trump not to allow Putin to divide the territory of Ukraine into the Alaska summit.
He must meet with Strmer at 9:30 am, local time at the official residence of the British Prime Minister, 10 Downing Street.
On Wednesday (13), Trump participated in one who sought to discuss the war before the summit about the end of the conflict.
Zelensky said he warned Trump that the Russian leader was “bluffing” about his desire to end the war.
Later, and although he did not specify what the consequences would be, he warned of economic sanctions if his meeting on Friday is not successful.
The comments and result of the virtual conference on Wednesday (13) can encourage Kiev before the summit.
Trump described the goal of his conversations with Putin in Alaska as “preparing the scenario” for a quick follow -up that would include Zelenskiy.
“If the first goes well, we’ll have a second fast,” said Trump.
“I would like to do this almost immediately, and we will have a second quick meeting between President Putin, President Zelenskiy and me, if they want me to be there.”
