Atletico-MG maintained an unbeaten 27-year-old against Argentines at home by beating Godoy Cruz 2-1 on the night of Thursday (14) at the MRV Arena in Belo Horizonte. That was the round of 16 match of the South American Cup.
Throughout the centennial history, he faced teams from Argentina 23 times as principal. There were 15 wins, six draws and two losses. The setback was in 1998, against Rosario Central, in Mineirão, in Belo Horizonte. The match was valid for the Conmebol Cup semifinal and was won by the Argentines 1-0.

Prior to that, the Rooster will have an appointment for the Brazilian Championship at the MRV Arena. Atletico faces Grêmio next Sunday (17), at 16h (Brasília time), in a game valid for the 20th round.
