Club informed the courts that investors in the Brazilian capital markets expressed interest in the acquisition of the company’s control
The associative communicated to the (Rio de Janeiro Court of Justice) that received proposals from investors interested in the purchase of the SAF (Anonymous Society of Football) Alvinegra.
The information was filed at the 2nd Business Court this Thursday (14.ago.2025) in the process that deals with the corporate dispute between and other shareholders of Eagle.
The club says it was sought by “Robust Investors” of the capital market, without mentioning names. The movement is performed as a response to an Eagle lawsuit, which accuses textor of adopting “Illicit measures” in management.
The associative seeks to preserve his rights provided for in the shareholder agreement, including the possibility of diluting Eagle’s participation if mandatory financial contributions are not made.
By clauses 3.3 and 3.4 of the contract, textor must ensure R $ 16.6 million per month for expenses and investments and R $ 8.3 million for professional football salaries when cash insufficient. The values are 2022 and suffer annual correction.
Botafogo’s president, João Paulo Magalhães Lins, had already expressed support to the textor in a letter sent in July to Eagle, rejecting any change in the management or board of directors of SAF.
