Who is Giovanni Leoni?
The Italian defender started his career in football for Padova, but it was at Sampdoria that he professionalized, registering 12 matches in season 2023/24.
Last year, he defended Parma in 17 games and now reinforces Liverpool as an alternative to the defensive sector, which already has Van Dijk, Konaté and Joe Gomez.

How much did Liverpool pay for Leoni?
According to Sky Sports, the 18 -year -old Italian was hired by Liverpool for 35 million euros (R $ 220 million). Leoni signed a contract valid until June 2031. He is the eighth reinforcement of the Reds for the season.
So far, the board has hired Ekitiké, Wirtz, Frimpong, Kerkez, Mamardeshvili, among others.
