Racing’s nightmare in the 1-0 loss to Peñarol, for Libertadores, was not only on the pitch. After seeing the team loses, the fans were prevented from leaving, in Montevideo, Uruguay, and were eight hours straight in the place. The period was marked by police violence, hostile climate and shots of fire and rockets.
The tense climate in the visiting crowd has already started upon arrival in the country. According to information from the Argentine newspaper, local police conducted forced magazines, which eventually delayed the entrance of the fans in Uruguay.
