The PSD Prime Minister and leader took advantage of the Pontal party to announce various measures for the country, especially for the Algarve, including the construction of a new hospital, the dam funding and the return of Formula 1 in 2027.
The Prime Minister begins by recalling all the operational operations on the ground to fight the fires that have launched in recent days: “We are making the maximum effort not to leave anyone alone, to make the maximum effort to mobilize all the means we have, to safeguard, first, the lives of all our compatriots, their heritage and the natural environment.”guarantees Luís Montenegro.
Montenegro said he was doing it “following the situation all the time”and relying on “the effort of many women and many men: firefighters, civil protection, GNR, forest sappers, armed forces, all security forces, mayors” and “many anonymous citizens.”
“We are doing it perhaps discreetly, but believe me, very close and seeking to be as effective and efficient as possible. We are doing it using everything that is possible, after we have done a preparation from the point of view of prevention and endowment of the whole system for combat,” he said.
New measures for the country (focusing on the Algarve)
During his long speech, as expected, Luís Montenegro announced new measures to the country. Among them, the Launch of a contest for the Algarve Hospital and the financing for the construction of the Alportel and Foupana damsnoting that this is the largest investment made in this region.
