Pastor Silas Malafaia is investigated by the PF in the inquiry into obstruction of the process that investigates the attempted coup

This inquiry, opened in May, investigates actions against authorities, against the Federal Supreme Court, against public agents and the search for international sanctions against Brazil. These actions, according to Minister Alexandre de Moraes, rapporteur of the case, seek to disrupt the progress of the process in which Jair Bolsonaro is defendant for attempted coup.
