Botewgrad-Austria’s national basketball team around NBA player Jakob Pöltl has managed to promote the first main round of qualification for the 2027 World Cup despite a defeat in Bulgaria. The ÖBV team lost 78:87 (37:38) on Saturday in Botewgrad. Before the last match of the Bulgarians on Wednesday in the Netherlands, the Austrians are no longer to be displaced from the top 2 of the group of three of the European pre-qualification.
