Craft croissants better than a confectionery. They always come out of this recipe

Shortbread is a perfect sweet snack that will take us to childhood. Contrary to appearances, they are not difficult and will not take us much time. Just a few ingredients to enjoy a delicious dessert. We suggest how to make them.

We associate croissants mainly with delicious pastries with grandmother. In order to recreate these tasty sweets, we can use a simple and proven recipe, which will make us feel this unique taste of dough melting in the mouth and delicious filling.

All we have to do is use the right proportions of the ingredients and create extremely tasty croissants that the whole family will love. We will need the following products to prepare them:

  • 50 g of powdered sugar,
  • 350 g of wheat flour,
  • 200 g of cold butter,
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream 18 percent,
  • 2 yolks,
  • cherry jam,
  • protein for spreading,
  • a pinch of salt,
  • Optionally, a few cubes of dark chocolate.

If we want to prepare the slimmed option of this delicacy, then We can replace powdered sugar with ground erythritolem. Remember, however, that it is less sweet and may be necessary to use more.

Preparation of croissants is not difficult. Just a few steps to enjoy a tasty coffee addition. The first thing we need to do is mix the flour, salt and powdered sugar in a large bowl. Then pour it onto the board and chop it along with the diced cold butter.

Add yolks and cream to this. We knead everything on a smooth dough, which we then wrap with foil and food and put in the fridge for about 45 minutes. Thanks to this, the dough cools down and it will roll easier.

Then optionally in a small bowl Mix jam with grated dark chocolate. After the previously indicated time, remove from the fridge and divide them into 2-3 parts, and we roll out each of them thinly to a thickness of about 2 mm. We cut a triangle out of the dough with a knurl or knife.

We apply a teaspoon of filling to the wider end of each triangle. Be careful not to put it too much because it will flow out during baking. We wrap the croissants, starting from the wider, heading towards the top. Then gently bend the ends. Place the croissants prepared in this way on a baking tray lined with baking paper and lubricate them with beaten protein. We put them in the oven preheated to 190 degrees Celsius. We bake them for about 15 minutes. Once they cool down, we decorate them with powdered sugar.
