In a new round of conversations in Washington, the deputy (-SP) took stock of members of the government of repercussion of the sanctions of the United States in Brazil and discussed the expansion of punishments to Brazilian authorities.
In a meeting with the Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Eduardo says he emphasized that the financial gains of the minister’s family, (Supreme Federal Court) have a great participation of the magistrate’s wife, Viviani Barci, as a lawyer.
In parallel, Eduardo and businessman Paulo Figueiredo, who was also at the meeting, were perception that Brazilian banks are not performing the sanctions to Moraes in full.

Eduardo said he stressed the assessment that banks who are representing in the US would not be complying with the sanction to Moraes by keeping the minister’s accounts open.
“This Brazilian interpretation is a Brazilian jabuticaba, this is nowhere,” he argued.
“Now this was my opinion, which can be accepted or not by the US government, by the secretary, because he is the one who makes the decisions. So I assured them that they were aware of the recent facts that occurred in Brazil,” he said.
On another front, Eduardo says the US government studies a new wave of visa to the US from people working with Moraes, such as judges, advisors and delegates.
He also says he told US authorities that Moraes blocked his accounts and that of his wife, Heloisa Bolsonaro, to harm them financially in the US.
The Supreme Court minister had their accounts freeze their accounts under the request of the (Attorney General’s Office) precisely by articulating measures against Moraes and Brazil in the United States.
