The allied countries of united in the so-called volunteer coalition or willing coalition, will meet on Sunday (17) for video conferencing, after Friday’s meeting in Alaska and before Monday’s visit to Washington of the Ukrainian President, President’s Washington, . The meeting will be held at 1 pm GMT on Sunday (10am from Brasilia), according to sources of the French Presidency to the press. As has happened last Wednesday, the meeting will be co-president by French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Stmerer and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
This Saturday morning, commenting on the results of his conversations with other leaders after the Alaska meeting between US President Donald Trump, and Russian, Vladimir Putin, Macron had already advanced that a new Ukraine Allies meeting would be summoned soon. The purpose of the call would be, according to an X message, “moving concretely” in the security guarantees for Kiev.
“It will be essential to take all the lessons of the last 30 years, and in particular the well-established propensity of Russia not to fulfill its own commitments,” Macron warned, and defending the maintenance of pressure on Moscow until there is a ceasefire.
