Heavy rains in Pakistan leave more than 300 dead

More than 300 people died in Pakistan after two days of heavy rains and floods, authorities said on Saturday (16).

Rescue efforts and blocked road cleaning are underway with the release of emergency funds, they said, adding that heavy rains would continue until August 21.

“Our hearts are with families who have lost loved ones, those who were injured and many whose houses and subsistence media were destroyed,” he said in a statement on social networks.

On Friday (15), a rescue helicopter fell due to bad weather, killing the five crew.
